A private Petrópolis day tour that can start in Rio de Janeiro or Petrópolis.
7–8 hours · private transport · licensed guide · separate professional driver · customizable itinerary
A private Petrópolis day shaped around your group, with a choice of starting in Rio or Petrópolis and practical guidance on timing, opening hours and optional stops.
Petrópolis combines the Historic Center, imperial-era landmarks, mountain scenery and a slower pace than a day in Rio. The suggested itinerary brings together four of the city's best-known places while leaving room to adapt the experience to your interests.
Your licensed guide stays with the group while a separate professional driver handles the vehicle, traffic, parking and each pickup. That division keeps the day private and organized, whether you begin in Rio de Janeiro or in Petrópolis.
You choose the start time and may ask to remove, reorder, replace or add attractions. The team will explain how traffic, opening hours, availability, location and time already used affect what fits comfortably into the 7–8-hour day.
These stops are a starting point, not a fixed route. Their order may change, and interior visits depend on opening, availability, maintenance, events and each attraction's rules.
Optional stops can replace or complement part of the suggested itinerary when timing and availability allow.

This option sits outside central Petrópolis and significantly changes the day. It usually means less time in the Historic Center and may leave room for only one major interior visit, such as Quitandinha or the Imperial Museum. Depending on the plan, Castelo de Itaipava may be considered for lunch.
