  • Búzios has 23 beaches — your guide will recommend the best ones based on your interests and the day's conditions. You won't see all 23, but you'll see the right ones.
  • Rua das Pedras is the main strip for restaurants and shopping — best explored on foot. Ask your guide which section has the best local shops vs. tourist traps.
  • Bring cash for lunch, beach chair and umbrella rentals, and shopping. Many smaller vendors and beach kiosks don't accept cards.
  • The drive from Rio takes about 2.5 hours each way through the scenic Lake Region — the coastal views on the return leg are particularly beautiful at sunset.
  • Búzios is best April through November — outside peak summer crowds but with warm water and full sunshine.

How far is Búzios from Rio and is the drive included?

Búzios is about 180km from Rio -- approximately 2.5 hours by private vehicle. The round-trip private transfer is fully included in the tour price. The drive itself is scenic, passing through the lakes region of Rio state.

With 23 beaches on the peninsula, how many will we actually visit?

In a 10-hour day, you'll realistically explore 4-6 beaches depending on your group's preferences and pace. Your guide will recommend the best beaches for your interests -- whether you prefer calm swimming waters, dramatic scenery, or lively beach bars. The famous Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot waterfront are also included.

What's the best time of year to visit Búzios?

Búzios is beautiful year-round but peak season is December to March when the water is warmest. The shoulder months of October-November and April-May offer excellent conditions with fewer crowds. July and August can be cooler but Búzios' charm is still very much present.

Should we bring cash to Búzios?

Yes, bring cash for lunch, beach equipment rentals (sunbeds, umbrellas), and shopping on Rua das Pedras. While many establishments accept cards, smaller beach kiosks often prefer cash. Meals and beach equipment are not included in the tour.
